By downloading or using GiveItAScan ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What the app provides

GiveItAScan helps you compare supermarket shelf prices against your receipt and highlights possible overcharges. It is an informational tool only.

2. Guidance only — no guarantee

The app's results, price comparisons, and any references to supermarket scanning policies are provided for general guidance only. They are not legal or financial advice, and we do not guarantee that any item qualifies for a refund or price adjustment. Store policies vary and change. Always confirm with the retailer. You are responsible for any claim you choose to make.

3. Accuracy

Prices are read from photos using automated text recognition, which can make mistakes. Always check the figures yourself before relying on them.

4. Subscriptions

GiveItAScan offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GiveItAScan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including any disputed charge, refused claim, or inaccurate reading. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
